The time when glamorous hairstyles were reserved for men is long gone. In the past, those who chose not to cut their hair were often teased.
However, young Riley, unfazed by the comments, earned the nickname “Rapunzel” at the age of nine due to his long braid.

From the time he was a baby, Riley’s parents decided not to cut his hair. His curls grew down to his shoulders.
When they finally considered cutting it, it was Riley who refused, inspired by his favorite soccer player, who wore his hair slightly longer than usual.

Even though his idol’s hair barely touched his shoulders, Riley chose to grow his out. His mother supported his decision, and within a few years, his hair reached his waist, remaining soft and light.

At nine, Riley expressed his wish to cut his hair and donate it to make wigs for children with cancer. His family fully supported him.
When they went to the hairdresser, Riley initially felt nervous as the first cut was made. Holding his braid in his hands, he couldn’t believe how long it had grown.
This generous act gained attention, and Riley was invited to a radio show to share his story. Whether he’ll grow his hair long again remains uncertain, as it will take time.

Regardless, his hair earned him some recognition. Interestingly, many didn’t believe Riley was actually a boy in the photos; some thought it was his sister posing before the cut. But it was indeed Riley, with his iconic and much-admired braid.
