In today’s era of advanced information technology, we often don’t even notice how much our lives have been simplified by technological means. With just a press of a button, we can instantly send a letter to someone on the other side of the world.
What’s more interesting is that today we can send not only text but also music, documents, and even entire movies or TV series. And all of this can reach the recipient in a matter of minutes or even seconds.
But in ancient times, the role of a messenger was performed by a postman. This profession was especially in demand during the time of the Golden Horde, marked by the necessity of constant information exchange.
Today, we see fewer and fewer postmen, and their profession is fading away due to the development of various new forms of communication.
In our country, the most famous postman could be called Igor Ivanovich Pechkin, the beloved character from the animated series about Prostokvashino. A monument to Pechkin on a bicycle next to Matroskin the cat and Sharik the dog adorns the post office building in the suburban town of Luhovitsy. The monument was unveiled on May 17, 2008.
Take a look at today’s task. In terms of difficulty, it can be rated 5 out of 5 points. It takes place in Sweden. Near the arch, we observe an unmanned mail carriage. Where could the postman have gone? Can you find him in the picture?
